Song of the Week: Phantasy Star Tower Theme



Phantasy Star has some of the best music on the Sega Master System (plus it's my favorite 8-Bit RPG!).

The Tower theme has a tension too it, and drives the player to explore. There is a subtle note of triumph in the song as well; it gives me the impression that hard times are going to follow but victory eventually awaits.

    Oh, that's nice! I'm embarrassed to admit, by the way, that I've never played this game :( I was a Nintendo fan all the way as a kid and never owned or even had the chance to play a Master System. I think the game is now available via the Wii's Virtual Console system, though, so maybe I'll pick it up soon...

    You should definitely play it! Don't be embarrassed either, I only played through this game earlier in the year.
