I got tired of generating good worlds ruins by aquifers in Dwarf Fortress so I decided to mod my version to remove them. You can watch the short video tutorial if you want to remove aquifers also!

DwarfFortress/raw/objects
You just need to replace all instances of "[AQUIFER]" with
"(AQUIFER)" in each of these 3 files.
inorganic_stone_layer.txt
inorganic_stone_mineral.txt
inorganic_stone_soil.txt
